The main objective of this cooperation with TEAM-ARTECHE is he design, development and testing of the new generation of digital protections using DSP's as the physical support of the protection functions, which are highly demanding of computational resources.Conventional 16 bit microprocessors are also used to support binary inputs and outputs and additional protection functions.
As a result of this cooperations two protections have been obtained: a transformer differential, and a HV line distance protection. The last one is currently under testing in laboratory using a Digital Power Sistem Simulator.
